SMart launches new magazine

Friday 28th September 2012

SmartThe launch of the SMart Network Magazine has been a labour of love and a long anticipated addition to the art magazine world.

If you hit the art magazine news stand you’ll be hard pressed to find an informative, yet not to high brow magazine that is also filled with colour and, surprisingly, art! Enter SMart Magazine. We’re hoping this reissue of the magazine, which is going to be free and available at most of London’s well known art galleries and museums.

A non-institutional, not-for-profit project first launched in the summer of 1998 at the National Gallery by Neil McGregor  then its Director, presently Director of the British Museum, and long time SMart advocate. The first five issues contained articles from prominent contributors alongside raw contemporary art and stories of lives touched by it.

SMart will try to create a vibrant platform, a common ground for debate, discussion and expression without geographical boundaries or imaginative limits, through the use of on- and off-line media and supporting events. SMart believes in the power of art to transform lives, in fact, we believe that art can save lives!

To ensure you receive a copy you can opt to become a SMart Network partner and support the cause. With a donation of £100 for the year you will receive the magazine (once published) to your door, plus exclusive offers, news and priority on events. Email us to find out more or go straight to our donation page and sign up.
